Sonic the Hedgehog Is Now Playable In Tesla Cars

SEGA just announced that Sonic the Hedgehog 1 is coming to Tesla’s in-car gaming console for both existing and new models. Apparently, Tesla owners only need to plug in a USB controller to play this game in their cars. Sonic the Hedgehog is a Nintendo classic released in 1991, originally designed as a game featuring the company’s mascot. Sonic is a lightning-fast blue hedgehog trying to harness the power of six Chaos Emeralds to save his animal friends from Dr. Eggman. Each level is populated with animals trapped inside robots. These robots are created by Dr. Eggman and are aggressive toward Sonic. Sonic can free the animals from the robots by curling into a ball and hitting them while spinning at sonic speed. Bringing this classic to Tesla will definitely make a lot of Tesla owners excited. After all, who doesn’t want to sit back and become the lightning-fast Sonic in their own car?

Despite all the hype, there is a concern about how Tesla is currently handling its in-car gaming console. It hasn’t been a week since Neal E. Boudette wrote the allegation regarding Tesla’s driving safety, as it allows drivers to play games while driving as long as they confirm their identity as a passenger. This can simply be done with a finger tap.

Though Sonic can revive at the most recently activated signpost when he loses a life, none of us will get a second chance to live in reality if we don’t focus on driving. While we want everyone to be able to sit back in their garage and have a little fun as Sonic, we don’t want anyone to put their lives on the line when driving.
