Genshin Impact 1.6 Update To Have a Midsummer Island Adventure

As Genshin Impact’s 1.5 update is wrapping up, developer miHoYo held live stream earlier today detailing what is coming up in the upcoming 1.6 update. We can expect to see some new quests, events, and even a new character. In terms of new quests, in the upcoming Archon quest, we will be following Kazuha and Beidou as they explain how to reach Inazuma – the next map expansion in Genshin Impact which will hopefully be released soon. We will also be helping Klee as she receives a letter from a “Dodo-King” who wants to take Dodoco away. Players will then travel to a new area which is an archipelago in search of the “Dodo-King” – however, be sure to thoroughly explore this place as it will only be available for a limited time. Boat mechanics will also be introduced as players will take sail on the boat called Waverider.

One of the aspects that people are most excited about in Genshin Impact is the limited-time character banners which run an average of three weeks. Right now, the Born of Ocean Swell banner is live featuring a brand new five-star character named Eula. However, when 1.6 goes live there will be two new five-star characters that players will be able to wish for. The first of which is a Pyro catalyst named Klee whose banner will be a rerun. The next however will focus on a brand-new character who is subsequently also the first character from a brand-new area called Inazuma. Kaedehara Kazuha is an Anemo sword user who is a good support character that is able to amplify elemental reactions.

There is a new type of enemy as well called the Maguu Kenki which will be featured in a limited-time event where characters can earn Mora, Primogems, Hero’s Wits, and more goodies. Also coming in 1.6 is the introduction of character skins. Both the five-star character Jean and the four-star Barbra are getting summer outfits.

Genshin Impact 1.6 will be released in a couple of weeks on June 9. Genshin Impact is free to play and available on PC, iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
