Fight Mechas in Indie RPG Wolfstride Out Now

Wolfstride is a self-proclaimed “immature grownup” RPG where you unexpectedly reunite with old friends to fight giant mecha robots in the ultimate mecha fighting tournament. Wolfstride was developed by OTA IMON Studios, a small indie collective based in Brazil, and published by Raw Fury. The game was released today, Dec. 7, 2021, for the PC and Mac systems.

You play as Dominic Shade, a jack of all trades and former member of the Yakuza who was exiled from the crime syndicate for unknown reasons. In a random string of events, Dominic finds himself turning over a new leaf when he becomes one of the new owners of a junkyard mecha robot called Cowboy. The other owners of Cowboy happen to be Dominic’s former partners in crime, a dog mechanic named Duque and a mecha pilot named Knife Leopard. With Cowboy now in their possession, the recently reunited trio decided to team up and enter the most prestigious mecha tournament on the planet, the Ultimate Golden God Tournament. The trio must work together and use their respective skills to stand their ground against some of the best mecha opponents entering the competition if they want to win the tournament and get the big cash prize. However, the trio’s journey to win the money is not as straightforward as they believe, where their lives start to unravel as their past choices decide to catch up with them and make their fates inevitable.

When you want to rest after fighting against other mechas in the battle arena, you can explore Rain City and meet its unique residents. You can interact with these unique characters within the city’s numerous establishments, where they might offer you a job and show some support or negativity for your journey, as mentioned on the game’s Steam page. You can also head back to the hangar, where Duque handles all of the repairs and upgrades on Cowboy.

You can purchase Wolfstride for the original price of $14.99 on Steam, Epic Games, and GOG. The game is currently on sale for $13.49 on Steam, Epic Games, and GOG until Dec. 14, 2021.
