Dead Cells Will Bring a New Ending in Its Upcoming DLC

There is a reason that Dead Cells is confident to shoot for the Labor of Love Steam Award this year. It has been 4 years since Dead Cells‘ Early Access release. The developers have released close to 30 updates in this time span, most of which were free. What’s more exciting is that there will be two new biomes, a special boss, and a new ending in The Queen & the Sea DLC.

This DLC will arrive early 2022, costing only $4.99 to support continued Dead Cells game development & Motion Twin project. “It finishes the path started with The Bad Seed and Fatal Falls, giving a new ending to the game.” The two new biomes will still be there, but one of them won’t be the same as you may have known. They are called the Infested Shipwreck and the Lighthouse — these will be a parallel to the High Peak Castle and Throne Room levels.

And of course, you will be able to fight new enemies with new weapons. The developers also announced that there will be a not-so-cuddly pet. It has barely been two weeks since Dead Cells released the crossover update Everyone Is Here, while the next major DLC is already on its way. The developers have confirmed in their latest announcement that Dead Cells will continue to release free updates for at least another year.

Dead Cells has a solid and welcoming online community where fans share their artwork and discuss with one another. Some of the fan works are even featured in Dead Cell‘s latest announcement. If you are interested in their community, make sure you check out their Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and Discord channel. Share your insight and feeling about the game or even your own artwork, and maybe one day you will find your work featured in one of Motion Twin’s official announcements.
