Capcom Announces Special Launch Live Stream For Resident Evil 2

Capcom recently announced a launch live stream for the upcoming Resident Evil 2. The broadcast will be aired on January 22 at the Tokyo-to Chuo Ward Event Hall from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm Japan time.

The live stream will include the development team and special guest Moga Mogami. The development team that is part of the panel will include co-directors Kazunori Kadoi and Yasuhiro Ampo, and the two producers Yoshiaki Hirabayash and Tsuyoshi Kanda. The event will consist of a chat with the development team, live gameplay reveal, and new details; local fans can also attend the event. Capcom is taking applications for the event until January 10, and anyone who has been selected will be sent emails the next day, January 11. Attendees will receive a goodie bag that’ll come with a package of Otokomae Tofu, a USB wristband, a clear file, and two posters.

Earlier in the month Capcom released some new trailers and screenshots regarding the game, with the new footage focusing on Ada Wong and the villain Tyrant. This was also the first time that we’ve seen footage of the fan favorite character Ada Wong, as in some of the earlier trailers there were only glimpses. Some of the hands-on previews of the new footage discuss how much the game has improved some of the quality of life issues that plagued the original. Many of the initial impressions also praise the graphics, something that is expected to be improved with a remake.

In October, Capcom revealed some classic alternate costumes that will be free for players. Other costumes will be a part of the Deluxe and Collector’s editions of the game, which will also come with extra additions such as an artbook, a statue, R.P.D. blueprints, and some extra game incentives like the ability to swap soundtracks and a new pistol called Samurai Edge. Resident Evil 2 releases on January 25, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
