GTA Online releases Festive Surprise 2018 with a Slew of Sign-In Rewards

With the Holidays upon us, many developers have been sending their festive cheer and wishes to their followers and fans over on Twitter. However, over on Rockstar Games’s Twitter, along with their own warm wishes, had a massive surprise announcement to go with them:

With this tweet, a number of things are announced. First, with the Holiday surprise (after all, they did call this the Festive Surprise 2018), locations are decked out in holiday cheer. Lights decorate buildings and bars and snow is covering the ground. During this event players are able to sign in and obtain a classic Vapid Clique, a 50’s era car with some fun paint for the holiday season.

But the Vapid Clique isn’t the only gift that will be coming out for GTA Online. Each day for the next week until January 1, 2019 has a new sign-in gift for players. These range from different kinds of ugly Christmas sweaters, to weapons, to extra add-ons, cosmetics for weapons, and much, much more. Finally, on New Years Day, it’ll end with getting some fireworks to light up the sky.

The final thing that was announced just in time for holidays is Bomb Ball. Having shown it off in the tweet above, this new arena game mode puts the aggression back into… well, aggression. Bomb Ball is taking Soccer and combing it with Mad Max vehicles, and throwing bombs. The goal is simple in this watered down version of death soccer: get the giant bomb onto the other opponent’s side before it goes off. So, either score, or die.

The Festive Surprise 2018 will end on January 1, 2019. However, during this event there is also a double XP Double GTA$ that goes until mid-January. The only exception is Bomb Ball, which is here to stay. Sign in now to GTA Online for bonus rewards and some extra holiday cheer.
