Beloved RPG Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne is Coming to PC Soon

The beloved cult classic, Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne, is coming to PC soon. Originally it was released back in 2003 for the PlayStation 2, however, it is now joining other Atlus games, like the Persona series, which are coming to PC among other platforms. While Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster already released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan, the end of May will mark its worldwide release on PC.

As mentioned above, the upcoming release of Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne will be a remastered version of the original game. This includes updated visuals, backgrounds, difficulty settings, Japanese and English voiceovers, suspend save, as well as an alternative storyline for players to discover. The alternative storyline will focus on Raidou Kuzunoha, who players might know from Devil Summoner.

For those that have not heard of Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne, it is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game taking place in Tokyo where hordes of demons have, essentially, taken over. Players will play as a high schooler, who fuses with a demon to become half-human, half-demon, as they journey through the apocalyptic world. The game utilizes a turn-based combat system that is based around exploiting weaknesses. Along the way, players can also recruit other demons they encounter to fight with them.

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster will come out May 25 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. There is an option to purchase the standard edition for $49.99 or the Digital Deluxe Edition for $69.99. The Deluxe Edition includes an additional difficulty mode, more DLC characters, and music. Players who preorder this edition will also be able to play earlier on May 21 instead of May 25.
