Tales Of Zestria Comes Out Next Month!

Tales fans can rejoice the wait is almost over for the newest entry Tales of Zestria will be released on October twentieth. You can pre-purchase it now on steam which is exciting news for PC gamers as this is the first tales game available for windows along with PS4 and PS3.

First off  to those not familiar with the tales series it is a J-RPG with very beautifully done anime inspired characters. The game is in 3D with an open world to explore and features  a live action battle system. So unlike traditional turn based RPG’s up for 4 real players can be in on the action. What makes the Tales series special is that in it’s 20 year history Bandai-Namco claimed to have refined this combat system and have “no more load screens”. What we care about most in a game that claims to be 70 hours is of course the story and Tales of Zestria has a lot to offer.

It will be very emotional based like a good anime. You will be placed in a land called Glenwood which is at war with two nations. The Hyland Kingdom which is a constitutional monarchy and the Rolance Empire. The protagonist that you play is called Sorey (スレイ) who is known as a Sheperd. According to famitsu this shepherd is a monk like character that interacts with a special race called the Seraph or Seraphim.   But like with any Tales game their will be many prominent main characters. Three others of which you can have as AI and will fight with the settings you chose or be controlled by friends.

So the biggest change from past tales games will be the combat system. It is known as the linear motion battle system (LMBS) according to vg247. It should work a lot like a brawler type game but in 3D. This exciting new combat system will keep things fresh as you get up there in hours of hacking and blasting magic at enemies. It was described like this by Bandai-Namco.

TALES OF ZESTIRIA introduces a new version of its celebrated real-time battle system, allowing for faster combat with side dashes and new combo opportunities with the fusion techniques.

The game even has a collectors edition available with chibi characters from the game, DLC, Bluray anime of Tales, keychains, and more. With music by Motoi Sakuraba and Go Shiina and even Jpop pieces by Superfly according to jpgames expect an impressive soundtrack.

The most exciting reason to pre-order for PC is the addons thanks to all the fans including a classic weapons set, classic male and female costumes familiar to tales fans. Or if more people pre-purchase this game before October 20th  everyone who pre-purchased will get a free copy of Tales of Symphonia for PC in HD next year. Check out the trailer from Bandai below for more and as always stick with MXDWN for more gaming news.
