Short, Weird, And Hand-Drawn: Vampy’s Big Day Launch Trailer

Be in charge of an unlucky vampire’s fate in Vampy’s Big Day.

Vampy, an adorable tiny vampire, was shunned from his society for his “shortcomings”. He’s smaller than the other vampires, meaning the Vampire Court saw him as being weak, and weakness amongst them is unacceptable. Now on his own, he traveled the land aimlessly until an unlikely companion took him under her wing.

Solea, a sun fairy, is the complete opposite of what a typical vampire stands for. She has powers that embody goodness and light, and her belief is that Vampy might be an Ashborn. An Ashborn in this world is a prophetic figure, they can person is destined to change the world–for better, or for worse. Vampy potentially has the power to end sunlight in the land forever or be the means of salvation for everyone. For Solea, she has faith in him that he will do what’s right.

This leads them on a journey across sunlit villages full of people who are just as sunny and good as their towns are, mysterious forests, and caves. During all this, Vampy must decide with your help on how to handle his instincts. Should he be what Solea believes he can be and spare villagers? Or give into his hunger and devour them? Regardless of which you choose for him, the game will keep tabs on you. NPCs might be fearful of Vampy, or welcome him as another member of their villages. Solea will also give her own commentary on the path he chooses, either being proud or disappointed in his actions.

Vampy and Solea’s  travel will eventually lead them back to the Vampire Court, where Vampy must face his destiny.

Thiis game is an adorable adventure that has been, “Lovingly created in a goofy MS Paint aesthetic, Vampy’s Big Day is a small, colorful adventure about an unlikely friendship and a prophecy they may not fully understand.”

Vampy’s Big Day is available to play on Steam now.
