If you played the latest Tomb Raider last year on Xbox One or picked up the 20th-anniversary edition on PS4 and are hungry for more, then you’ll have to wait a while longer. But now you know what you’ll be waiting for because a Redditor by the name Triple280 got a look at the new game’s title.
You can see the image on Imgur. Triple280 took the picture while on the subway, and if you look closely you can see the game’s title, Shadow of The Tomb Raider.You can’t make out the details, but Kotaku spoke to Triple280 who said that page mostly talked about visuals. The picture was taken while Triple280 was on a subway going to work when he looked over and saw the screen and being the opportunistic sort, snapped a pic.
I’m from Montreal, QC. I was going downtown for work and I took a quick snap. I really would love to say more but other than the title, the rest was blurry from where I was.
Kotaku points out that the previous entries were developed by Crystal Dynamics, which is based in San Fransisco, so why would this pop up in Montreal? Well, Kotaku says that it matches up with the rumors that Eidos Montreal would be developing the sequel. Furthermore, this leak also confirms what they have been hearing about the game’s title.
Of course, the game hasn’t even been confirmed or announced and Square Enix hasn’t responded to the leak. So we will just have to wait for official word. Most likely, unless the game went into active development as soon as Rise of the Tomb Raider came out on Xbox One, it’s still a long way from coming out.
