Overwatch Adds Another Pair of Spooky Skins to the Lineup

Another day closer to Halloween means more event skins revealed. On October 6 and 7, Overwatch tweeted another two Halloween event skin reveals, this time for everyone’s favorite rocket-launching, justice-raining hero, Pharah, and newcomer, the Wrecking Ball Hammond. The skins, called Enchanted Armor Pharah and Jack-O’-Lantern Wrecking Ball, join the ranks of Swamp Monster Doomfist, Banshee Moira, and Spider Widowmaker as covered in our previous article.

While the Pharah reveal gives us a great look at the skin, what it doesn’t show much of is Pharah herself, as she seems to have been replaced by a ghostly blue-green aura, making her suit of armor seem to float by itself. Her signature Heroic stance with her helmet at her side is replaced by what appears to be her whole disembodied head in hand.

Hammond’s skin is your classic take on the holiday favorite, the jack-o’-lantern, you know, if you added a full machine-gun arsenal of pumpkin vines. The skin is made complete by the nightmare-fuel burlap sack mask donned by Hammond. I wouldn’t want to see this hamster rolling up to my house to trick-or-treat!

The new skins, according to the tweets, will be of Legendary rarity, which means a 3000 credit price tag (if you’re one of the unlucky souls who doesn’t get them in a loot box.) Better start hoarding those credits now!

With the addition of Enchanted Armor and Jack-O’-Lantern, five Halloween skins in total have been announced for the 2018 Halloween event.

Enchanted Armor will be the fifth event skin for Pharah as well as her second Halloween skin, having received her demonic Possessed skin during the inaugural Halloween Terror event in 2016. Jack-O’-Lantern will be Wrecking Ball’s first event skin.

The Halloween Terror event begins October 9 and goes through Halloween, October 31. Only a few more days until we can see what dastardly deeds Junkenstein and his band of menacing monsters are up to this time!
