Following up on other big news from this week’s Pokemon Direct on the latest installments (Generation 8!) of the Pokemon series, Nintendo of America recently announced on Twitter which games would be available for demo at this year’s E3 conference. Pokemon Sword and Shield’s playable demos were confirmed during the Direct, and now several more hotly anticipated games are officially on the agenda for the upcoming event.
In addition to the upcoming Pokemon titles, Nintendo will also be featuring playable demos of Luigi’s Mansion 3, Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order during their E3 presentations.
According to Nintendo’s Twitter post, there are some other titles to present that are yet to be named or confirmed. It’s possible that Nintendo could have a demo available for Super Mario Maker 2, which is scheduled to release at the end of June. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is also set to be a big summer release for Nintendo this year, and it’s possible that it’s being held off as a surprise bonus since its logo isn’t included in Nintendo’s announcement.
While nothing can be known for sure until the event at E3 is underway, it’s looking very unlikely that Nintendo will be bringing a playable demo of Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Switch to Los Angeles. This is sure to disappoint a lot of people who have been waiting and waiting for news on this beloved title for some time now as well as inspire a lot of memes about the delay. In positive news, more information on the upcoming Switch version of Animal Crossing is expected during the online presentation that takes place on Tuesday, June 11th.
Nintendo shared their full E3 streaming presentation schedule with this announcement of playable demo titles. The latest Nintendo Direct will stream Tuesday, June 11th at 11 AM PDT and will be focused on the Switch. Nintendo’s Treehouse Live will follow that, and feature the Treehouse Crew talking about all the upcoming games with developers and showing off gameplay and features.
