As the Chalk Prince and the Dragon event draws to close, it is time for the next Genshin Impact event to start. While the previous event focused on the new Dragonspine mountain area, this next one, dubbed Lost Riches, will lead players all around Teyvat on a search for hidden treasures. Players will have to be at least adventure rank 20 and have completed “The Outlander Who Caught the Wind” quest before being able to participate in the Lost Riches event.
Lost Riches is scheduled to begin January 8 at 10 a.m. eastern time or 7 a.m. pacific and last until January 18. During this time, players will have to first meet up with Ulman in the Stone Gate area before embarking on their treasure-hunting expedition. Players will then receive a location where treasure might be found and there, they can use a temporary Seelie pet to help them. The Seelie will glow brighter the closer a player gets to treasure. Once the player finds it, they will get some iron coins to spend in the event shop. While the event shop will contain the usual Mora, Primogems, and Hero’s Wit, the main highlight of this event is the ability to permanently purchase a Seelie pet. Looking at the 1.2 Livestream, there appear to be three colors of Seelie pets to choose from – Dayflower, Rose, and Curcuma – or better know as blue, pink, yellow.
Right now, there are still a little over four days remaining on Secretum Secretorum where players have an increased chance to pull the five-star character, Albedo. However, the developers, miHoYo, have been slowly releasing information about the next character banner which will mainly feature Ganyu – a cryo archer. Genshin Impact is a free to play Gacha game and is available on PC, iOS, and PlayStation 4.
