Midwinter Entertainment’s First Major Title is Survival Game Scavengers

Midwinter Entertainment, a Seattle-based studio that was recently established with only a handful of members, has just announced its first game. Equipped with veteran members that all have triple A backgrounds in titles such as Halo and Call of Duty, Midwinter Studios has unveiled an impressive looking cinematic trailer at the Game Awards 2018.

Dubbed Scavengers, the sci-fi title shows off a gargantuan space station in the outer reaches of the Universe as an unknown crew races to escape the vessel. They board multiple escape pods as they launch toward the closest planet, a snow-covered sphere dotted with massive swaths of green forests. Upon crash landing into the blizzard-torn town of Cascade Springs, the team sets out to investigate a huge crater in the center of the snow and a foreboding figure jutting out of it.

Scavengers is touted as the next generation in “class-based teambuilding” with a mix of “competitive and cooperative survival gameplay.” From the website’s description, it would seem as if placers will be facing off against grotesque enemies, fearsome creatures, and the occasional wild animal. The competitive aspect of the game will have teams face off against one another in this wild and unpredictable environment.

There is no release date as of yet and no announced platforms, so check back for more details later on.
