Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite Character Roster Possibly Leaked

About month ago, Capcom announced the release date and several playable characters for the upcoming fighting game Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. More recently, however, it seems that the entire character roster for the game may have been leaked.

According to GameSpot, forum user called Ryce posted on a NeoGAF forum about the game’s characters and stages. GameSpot states that Ryce has apparently been a reliable source for leaked information about the game in the past. Ryce lists the supposed characters in the game as follows:

Capcom:
Arthur
Chris
Chun-Li
Dante
Firebrand
Jedah
Monster Hunter
Morrigan
Nemesis
Ryu
Spencer
Strider Hiryu
X
Marvel:
Ant-Man
Captain America
Captain Marvel
Doctor Strange
Gamora
Hawkeye
Hulk
Iron Man
Nova
Rocket/Groot
Spider-Man
Thanos
Thor
Ultron

Ryce mentions that he is unsure if the Rocket/Groot character is simply Rocket with Groot acting as an assist or if it will be a new character that allows the player to play as both or either Rocket and/or Groot. Ryce also mentions that it appears that the list he was given of Capcom characters is one character short, but speculates that the missing character may be Frank West.

Also notable is the fact that this list does not include Sigma, who was revealed to be a DLC character in Capcom’s release date announcement last month. Therefore, if this list is correct, then it is safe to assume that the list provided by Ryce contains only standard characters available to everyone and not the six additional DLC characters.

Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite hits stores on September 19 and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
