Magical Battle Royale Game, Spellbreak, Received its Biggest Update Yet

The popular free-to-play battle royale game, Spellbreak, first appeared on the Epic Games Store in the Fall of last year and since then has come to multiple platforms and consoles. Now there is lot of new content coming its way in Chapter 2, dubbed ‘The Fracture’. For those who have not heard of Spellbreak, it is a battle royale game based around spellcasting combat with different elemental magic to learn to control to fit different playstyles. There are different classes to choose from and a large environment to explore and find chests with tactical loot. However, with Chapter 2 there is a ton of new content for both new and old players to experience.

First off, there is a whole new game mode available to play called Dominion. This is a 5v5 mode where players have to capture and control areas in order to gain points for their team. However, this is not the change coming. There is also a new seasonal ranking system for more competitive players to compete in. For more lore-based players, there are 12 weeks of story and honor quests to learn more about the Vowkeepers and the Hollow Lands as a whole and pick up where Chapter 1 left off. Some smaller changes that are coming are a new outfit type, new areas of interest in the northwest region, and a bunch of gameplay and balance updates to make the game more fun to play.

Spellbreak is available for free in the Epic Games Store, Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Chapter 2, as of a couple of days ago, is now available to play – including the new game mode.
