Hellic, The Next Cat Idle RPG, is Coming Soon to Mobile Gaming

Viper Studio is a South Korean mobile game studio behind titles like Number Match – Number Games and A Christmas Santa – Games. Following a successful launch limited to regions in the east, the company has announced the upcoming global release of their newest title, Hellic, a unique cat-themed idle RPG. The game is set to release tomorrow on February 24, 2025, and will be available via the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. It is entirely free, aside from potential in-app purchases, and users who pre-register for the game prior to its official release will unlock exclusive rewards. These rewards include powerful heroes, premium items, and other mystery gifts. Hellic was originally listed as releasing near the end of March, so its February release is a nice surprise for fans of the game.

Hellic throws players into a world that is entirely ruled by felines. There, they meet a cat named Honoka, who immediately refers to them as the Legendary Butler. The player is tasked with protecting Hellic from a group of evil doggos who make threats to the world’s peaceful existence. In order to defeat the doggos, players need to assemble a team of talented hero cats, each of which provide distinct powerful abilities and dynamic movement to in-game combat.

Players progress through Hellic by collecting equipment through capsules, farming, progressing through dungeon challenges, PvP battles, and taking on boss raids, all of which are fairly simple tasks. Mastering hero attributes and team formations can help players go above and beyond as they develop their shared hideout. After feeding the gathered team of cat heroes, players are able to enhance their friend’s abilities and conduct research to boost their combat power. The heroes continue to fight and train even when players are offline, which makes progressing through the game easier for those on a tight schedule.

Anyone interested can currently pre-register for the game on any mobile app store.

While many video games are available only to those who can afford expensive consoles and computers, mobile games are designed for the average person.
