With games like Destiny and GTA 5 doing Halloween events, its natural to assume that Gears of War 4 would be doing the same. The Coalition announced that Gears of War 4 will be seeing a new form of the Dodgeball multiplayer mode along with Halloween themed gear packs and pumpkin heads.
Pumpkin ball, the remix of Dodgeball, introduces a mere one second respawn time coupled with reduced respawn protection. The purpose of this was to create, “a faster paced Dodgeball experience where the dead don’t stay dead for long”. The overall gameplay will remain the same, teams of five will try to eliminate each other. If killed, your teammate will have to kill an enemy for you to come back to life.
The new Pumpkin ball variant will be available on Gears of Wars 4’s darker maps; Fallout, Forge, Harbor, Impact, and Lift.

Beginning October 27th, players will be able to get there hands on a limited time Halloween Elite Pack. Similar to the usual elite pack, the Halloween variant will have a guaranteed Legendary or Epic quality item. All Legendary cards obtained in these packs will be exclusive to the Day of the Dead Legendary Collection. You’ll be able to get the Halloween Elite Pack until November 1st.
