Capcom Announces Street Fighter 6 Closed Beta and Cross Play Feature

During the Capcom TGS 2022 Online Program, an announcement was made regarding an upcoming closed beta for Capcom’s Street Fighter 6. The announcement stated that the beta would be available beginning on October 7 and will last until October 10. The closed beta will be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Street Fighter 6 will also be available on the Playstation 4 once it is released, but there will not be an option to play the closed beta on the console.

The closed beta will also include a cross-play feature, meaning that players on different consoles will have the ability to play against one another. The beta will also include a Battle Hub, where players can go to find different types of matches. The Battle Hub will feature Street Fighter 6 matches, and also let players compete in classic Capcom games such as Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Final Fight.

The closed beta will feature a variety of different playable game modes. Ranked matches, casual matches, open tournaments and more will all be available in the closed beta.

The closed beta will also feature a long list of playable characters. The game will include Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri and Ken. Additionally, there is a character creation suite, where players can create their own avatars and use them in the Battle Hub.

Street Fighter 6 does not currently have an official release date, but the game is expected to release sometime in 2023. The game will be the first of the Street Fighter series to make it on current-gen consoles and will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
