Bright Memory Is Coming to Xbox Series Consoles on November 10th

Bright Memory is a short FPS focusing on fast-paced combat and score chaining in a system similar to Devil May Cry’s point system. The game itself leans into traditional Chinese mythology and has been developed by a single person. The game blends Chinese mythology with modern-day sci-fi by taking the player to an untouched floating continent. The player has to explore the foreign land using a mixture of modern, and futuristic firearms along with two trusty swords, with the goal to stop a terrorist organization from weaponizing little understood energy that is native to the continent. Bright Memory is currently a stand-alone title, while thematically it is a prologue to the unreleased Bright Memory: Infinite.

Bright Memory is currently only on Steam, and it going for $20. Along with picking up a game that will last a couple of hours, purchasers of Bright Memory are promised to get Bright Memory Infinite for free when it is released. It has been known for a while that Bright Memory Infinite will be running on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC along with a release eventually on Xbox Series X sometime in 2021.

Now, the publisher Playsim has dropped a new trailer confirming that the shorter Bright Memory will be available on Xbox Series X|S when the consoles release on November 10th. It is unclear if purchasing Bright Memory on the Xbox Series platform will carry the same promise of giving Bright Memory Infinite to all of the purchasers for free. Bright Memory Infinite is needed to complete the story that Bright Memory builds up along with utilizing more graphical tricks like raytracing that will be available on the Xbox Series machines. Bright Memory also does not have a clear price yet, but it is unlikely to deviate from the Steam version, nor is it known if either will be available to Gamepass subscribers.

Griffin Gilman: Gaming may very well be half of my personality, so it is only natural that I write about them. The best genre is RPGs, while the best game is Nier Automata. That's not an opinion but a matter of facts.
