Ball-Bouncing Game, Beast Breaker, Coming To PC and Switch Later This Year

Coming out of the recently formed studio, Vodeo Games, heralded by Threes! lead developer, Asher Vollmer, is a new indie game with pinball-like mechanics and cartoon art style. Named Beast Breaker, it is the first game Vodeo Games is releasing and this new studio has committed to releasing a game per year. There is a second game in the works right now, however, there is no further information out about it as of yet.

In Beast Breaker, players will play as a mouse named Skipper who is trying to defend civilization from giant beasts who want complete destruction. The gameplay is similar to another Switch game, Holedown, where players advance by bouncing balls, however in Beast Breaker, they are throwing the mouse, Skipper. Throughout this game, players will employ pinball logic and decision-making to complete the levels and continue on in the adventure. In the levels, players will throw Skipper around the map to bounce between mosaic beasts in order to defeat the enemies and advance in the story. They will need to use tactical decision-making in order to figure out the angles for the shots in order to do maximum damage. There is also a progression system that allows players to obtain upgrades and craft new equipment to become even more powerful.

While Beast Breaker does not have a release date as of yet, it is expected to come to Nintendo Switch and PC sometime this summer. Until then, you can check out other games that Asher Vollmer has worked on. Threes! is a puzzle game available on both the iOS store and the Google Play Store while Guildlings is an Apple Arcade exclusive.
