Amazon Game Studios, Crystal Dynamics, and Flying Wild Hog have announced that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will launch on February 12, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The release date was shown during PlayStation’s June 2 State of Play presentation through a new gameplay trailer. The game was previously scheduled for 2026 release window.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a complete reimagining of the original Tomb Raider, which first released in 1996. The story follows Lara as she searches for the pieces of the Scion, the central artifact from the original game. The remake is co-developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, with Amazon Game Studios publishing. It is being built in Unreal Engine 5 and updates Lara Croft’s first adventure with redesigned environments, modernized gameplay, expanded spaces, and new visual detail while keeping the structure centered on exploration, puzzles, combat, and artifact hunting.
The new trailer also confirmed the game’s delay from its previous release window. The footage highlights Lara’s return to locations from the original Tomb Raider, including Peru’s Lost Valley and ruins in Greece. It opens with a man and woman seeking Lara out for her retrieval services before shifting into a broader look at the remake’s action and exploration. Lara is shown facing bears and panthers, swinging through trees, swimming underwater, solving light-reflection and cogwheel puzzles, and fleeing from dinosaurs.
Two editions were revealed. The Standard Edition will cost $59.99 and includes the full game as a digital download, with the Survivor Outfit offered as a pre-order bonus. The Deluxe Edition will cost $69.99 and includes the full game, the Survivor Outfit, 48-hour early launch access for pre-orders, the Parisian Fugitive Outfit, and a post-launch DLC story pack. Amazon Game Studios is also offering a separate Mediterranean Wetsuit Outfit through Amazon Games iD.
