Aliens: Fireteam Elite was a game that released back in 2021, and it was a third-person PvE shooter where the player took control of a marine and had to fight off waves of the famous alien, the Xenomorph. Now, five years later, the game is getting a sequel, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, which was announced on May 7th, 2026, and with it comes an official trailer for the game, and we quickly see some of the big changes for the game, such as now squads are four members instead of three. An official release date was not revealed, only that it’s coming this summer and can be wishlist’d on PC and consoles.
It’s been a good year for Alien fans, as this is the second sequel to an Alien game announced just this year reckon this one is a lot closer. It’s good to see a beloved IP return to the gaming industry and show off why so many have fallen in love with it. Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 looks to be a bigger and bolder game than its predecessor, and adding a fourth member will surely entice many to group up with their friends and attempt to survive Xenomorph onslaughts. Unfortunately, there is no concrete release date, only that it’s coming this summer, so we will just have to wait and see what Cloud Iron Studios and Daybreak have in store for us, as this is shaping up to be a big game for the Alien franchise.
