Zen Pinball World Hits Mobile and Lights Up the Playfield

The Zen Pinball series, developed by Zen Studios, launched in 2007 with Pinball FX on Xbox 360 and has since achieved great success. The game offered realistic physics and innovative gameplay certain to please anyone obsessed with pinball machines. Following the launch of Pinball FX, the company made significant partnershipsincluding popular licensed tables like Marvel, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, and more. Franchise sequels like Pinball FX2, Zen Pinball 2, and Pinball FX3, have increased the series’ popularity over time by adding new features, improved graphics, and cross-platform play.
Pinball is now available to mobile gamers on the go in the form of Zen Pinball World, which launched to iOS and Android devices just a few days ago on December 12. Zen Studios announced the game’s release via a post on Pinball FX’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, encouraging potential players to experience “new tables never seen on mobile.” The post includes a brief clip advertising the game’s graphics, gameplay, and brand deals.

Zen Pinball World has twenty different pinball tables available to its players. Each of them features unique gameplay mechanics and themes from popular films and television series, like The Princess Bride, South Park, Battlestar Galactica, and Borderlands, to name a few. All of these boards are available to play at any time for free, with the caveat of periodic in-game advertisements.

Although the game has only been released for a few days as of yet, Zen Pinball World has mainly received positive reception thus far. The perpetual inclusion of ads has prompted a bit of concern among players, as well as certain performance issues, although these are likely to be addressed in due time. The sheer amount of brand crossovers within the game is significant and will likely attract a variety of pop culture fans.

Zen Pinball World is currently available for free on iOS and Android devices in case anyone wants to give it a go!

While many video games are available only to those who can afford expensive consoles and computers, mobile games are designed for the average person.
