Update 3 Available For Redfall: New Weapon, Additional Improvements, Balance Changes, & More

If you are a fan of Redfall then you are in luck. Yesterday it was announced that update 3 was available for the game. The update brings new weapon, improvements in the game, and Balance changes. Update 2 was released last month for the Xbox series X|S which brought about performance mode, stealth takedowns, and new controller settings.

Part of the new update for Redfall comes with a new weapon. Players can access the Basilisk which is “a New Unrivaled Sniper Rifle.” This particular weapon “charges the first bullet in the full magazine with UV power that can petrify vampires”. According to Bethesda, the publisher of Redfall and the one who announced the update for the game in a blog post

Basilisk can drop anywhere Unrivaled items are eligible , with a higher chance to drop from Bellwether -Themed containers in the open world and vampire nests.

Along with the new weapon, there have been many improvements made focusing on different facets of Redfall. Some of the areas improved in the game are AI/NPC, Gameplay, Missions, Heros, and much more. Some of the updates in these areas include an increase in Siphon’s resistance to fire, Human enemies can now climb awnings, the NPC patrol paths have been improved, and “All damage-dealing Hero abilities will now shatter vulnerable Nest Heart”.

For the User Interface, the updates that were made in update 3 for Redfall are as listed:

Improved visibility of player locations on the map, Added input curve visuals for Input Response settings, and Voice chat now has a separate volume control option in the Audio Settings Menu

The audio improvements that were made for Redfall :

  • The Hero outfit was “updated and balanced” to decrease the loudness
  • The issue with the music stopping “after a player was revived during a vampire godfight” was resolved.
  • “issues with audio skipping during psychic echo playbacks” fixed
