Toys ‘R Us and Best Buy Restock Nintendo Switch Units this Weekend

Nintendo’s newest console, the Switch, has been selling great. Earlier this month it was revealed that almost one million Switch units have been sold in the United States alone and Nintendo has stated that if the Switch keeps up its pace then it could outsell the Wii and become Nintendo’s best-selling console of all time.

While these sales are great news for Nintendo, it comes with a downside for fans. Since the Switch sells so well, it is regularly sold out at most retailers, making it difficult to attain for those fans who still don’t have one almost two months after the console’s launch. Luckily, some stores are getting new shipments of Switchs and will be selling them this weekend.

According to GameSpot, Toys ‘R Us will have more Switch consoles to sell starting this Friday (April 28) to coincide with the release of the Switch exclusive Mario Kart 8 DeluxeMario Kart 8 Deluxe is revamped version of the Wii U’s Mario Kart 8, which, among other things, changes the game’s Battle Mode to one more reminiscent of the Battle Mode in Mario Kart 64. This Deluxe version will also include new characters and karts. So far, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been praised by critics, earning it an aggregate rating score of 94/100 on MetaCritic.

GameSpot also reports that Best Buy will have more Switchs this weekend for the same reason. Best Buy also reportedly has more NES Classic Editions available now, which are now few and far between since Nintendo’s decision to discontinue the console.

Both the Switch and NES Classic are expected to sell out again quickly, so the sooner you can get to a Toys ‘R Us or Best Buy the better.
