Who thought saving a world while sleeping would ever happen? Well the development team Signal Studios (developers of Toy Soldiers) and Tilting Point, thought about it in the new physics-based puzzle platformer, The Sleeping Prince. They have announced that the game will be coming to the App Store (iPhone 4S and later) next Thursday, September 11th, but it will also be coming soon to Android.
In The Sleeping Prince, players will control the prince, Prince Perilous who has to save the kingdom of Cloudreach and the princess as well from the the evil Sydney Slime. Though what is this, the evil Sydney Slime has put the kingdom and the Prince under what seems like a sleeping spell, and you have to save the kingdom while you are asleep the whole time! You will also be needing the help from the Great Wizard Plushkin, the King and the Queen. Take control of the Prince in a ragdoll style gameplay through the castle by using your magic powers via flicking, throwing and tossing, where you will face the enemies sent by Sydney Slime and solve puzzles, but you better conserve your magic powers in order to help you save the kingdom of Cloudreach and reach the Princess.
Though where is all this rage and need to put the Kingdom of Cloudreach to sleep coming from, the team at Signal Studios had the evil fiend come to you hero’s mentioning the following, “Right, of course. My name is Sydney Slime, see. I am the Seventy-Second heir to the Mighty and Sinister Slime Kingdom. I have put the Kingdom of Cloudreach to sleep, a suitable punishment for what those sickening scoundrels did to my Father’s Evil Empire. I don’t care what the Royal Family tried to do for me, it’s all their fault this happened! Except for sweet Leona. She is the innocent one… beautiful Princess Leona… oh, if only I could… alas! It is of no consequence! Cloudreach Kingdom is asleep, every last one of them, INCLUDING that wretched Prince Perilous. That insolent fool will never have Leona, never! She’s mine, along with the Kingdom of Cloudreach! You will all pay! The Great Slime Kingdom will reign supreme once more!!!”
The features that you experience in The Sleeping Prince, includes the following:
- Shine and Rise: Drag the ragdoll Sleeping Prince through over 40 increasingly challenging levels. Master your flinging skills and plan your moves carefully so you don’t run out of Magic!
- Shake A Leg! Throw the Prince around to explore the castle, attack dangerous enemies, avoid deadly traps, and solve ingenious puzzles with smooth and intuitive physics-based gameplay.
- Catch Some Zzz’s! Find and collect Gems, Stars and Z Coins in each level. The more you collect and the faster you do it will allow you to earn medals to unlock more levels! Get items and upgrades from the great Wizard Plushkin to assist you in your adventure.
- Power Nap! Rely on the King, Queen, and Wizard Plushkin’s special powers to reach new heights and discover secret areas.
- You Snooze, You Lose: Each level requires skill and logic; but also speed. Race against the clock and challenge your online friends to beat you. Master the game and rise to the top of the Leaderboards in our Timed Challenges.
