The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Coming This Summer

If you are a fan of the Ace Attorney series, then there is some good news coming your way. There are two upcoming Ace Attorney titles that are appearing outside Japan for the first time: The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve. These two games will be bundled together in a collection called The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a spin-off prequel to the rest of the Ace Attorney games as it is set in the 19th century during the Victorian period in London, England as well as during the Meiji period in Japan. Players will follow the protagonist, Ryunosuke Naruhodo as he finds evidence in order to try to clear his client’s names in court. There will be ten cases for players to try their hand at, one of which includes the infamous detective, Herlock Sholmes.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles will include some new gameplay aspects. One of which occurs when working alongside Herlock Sholmes which is known as the “Dance of Deduction” which will allow characters to observe and dismantle mistakes in the detective’s logic and find new facts. Also, in the courtroom, players will be able to take part in something called “Summation Examinations” where they point out flaws and juror discrepancies to try and achieve a “Not Guilty” ruling. The collection will also include some DLC content that was previously released in Japan as well as a couple of mini-episodes to create over 50 hours of content.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is appearing in North America and Europe on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam on July 27 for $39.99. There will also be another bundle featuring The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles as well as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy available on all the same platforms for $59.99.
