Spiders Games and Focus Home Interactive have revealed a new trailer announcing the release date for the open-world RPG title, GreedFall. Set in the 17th century, the game follows the journey of a group of settlers as they explore a mysterious island believed to contain secret treasures, as well as the possible answers to discovering a cure for the deadly disease that’s plaguing their home.
The studio released the game’s teaser just last year during E3 2018. This year, the team returned to E3 2019 to reveal the GreedFall story trailer which sought to elaborate more on the overarching storyline, as well as showcase more on the growing tension between the invading settlers and the mystical natives. Sail to the remote island of Teer Fradee in a desperate but determined attempt to discover a cure to the deadly Malichor disease plaguing your home continent. Explore New Serene, one of the newly established colonies on the island where your cousin is preparing to take over as governor.
Create your own characters, freely customize their skills and abilities without the limitations associated with choosing a single class. Experience an ever-evolving world where your actions, diplomatic decisions, or cunning deceptions will ultimately affect the development of yourself, the colony, and the overall storyline.

The development team also revealed that a DLC for the game is already in the works. According to its description on the Steam Store, the Adventurer’s Gear DLC will include:
- The Explorer’s Outfit, which is said to bring its lucky wearer great fortune. The complete outfit will consist of “the Hat of the Discoverer, Doublet of Good Fortune, Gloves of the Craftmaster and Weighted-heel Boots.”
- The Rapier of the Alchemist, a specially crafted weapon able to inflict great damage on enemies, as the blade has the ability to ignite when drawn. It is said to be created by Al Saad, a master alchemist.
- The Wild Board Ivory Rifle, a short-range weapon capable of halting a charging boar.
The DLC will be available for purchase following the release of GreedFall. But you can reserve this additional gear for your arsenal by pre-ordering the game now.
GreedFall will be released this fall, September 10th, and will be playable on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Pre-ordering is currently available via the Steam Store as well as various retailers including Amazon and GameStop.
