Sony Announces Upcoming Free Titles as Part of the Play At Home 2021 Program

In April of last year, Sony first announced the Play at Home Initiative to give gamers couple of free games to play to make their quarantine more interesting as well as to help independent game studios. However, a year later, many of us are still stuck due to the ongoing pandemic and have plenty of free time on our hands to play video games so Sony has decided to bring this initiative back. In about a week, PlayStation players will be able to download ten games for free.

This time around, Sony is offering a mix of both PlayStation and PlayStation VR games during the Play at Home program. This includes titles such as Abzu, Enter the Gungeon, Rez Infinite, Subnautica, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Witness. While the PlayStation VR lineup includes Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Moss, Paper Beast, and Thumper. Sony has actually already released one game for free as apart of this program earlier this month. Ratchet & Clank (2016) will be available for the rest of March for PlayStation 4 players to pick up if they have not as of yet.

Most of these games will be available starting March 25 all the way until April 22, however Horizon Zero Dawn will be available for a free download a little bit later, between April 19 and May 14. Other than just games, the Play at Home program will also be offering an extended trial of the Anime platform, Funimation, in participating countries. This year the program is expected to last a couple of months, from March until June, so there will most likely be more information forthcoming in the next coming weeks.
