Snaky Cat Slithers Onto the Global Stage

Appxplore, established in 2011, is a Malaysian mobile game development studio behind charming titles like Claw Stars, Masketeers, Light A Way, and many others. The company’s games have reached a vast number of players over time, achieving more than 40 million downloads in total. Appxplore’s latest mobile title, Snaky Cat, has already made name for itself in mobile app stores, garnering 1.5 million pre-registrations before its recent release on February 4.

Snaky Cat is a “kitty battle royale” that takes an adorable twist on the traditional Snake phone game. This multiplayer .io game has players slither through a colorful arena as snake-shaped cats, and search for sugary treats that increase kitty length. When other players slither near, the goal is to smash them apart and consume the presumably sweet remains. The longer a player survives and expands, the higher they climb up the game’s leaderboard.

The game has players from all across the globe play together in real-time online PVP matches. The longest snaky cats at the end of each match are sent on trips to discover special rewards. Unlike other Snake games, which often pose players against each other with no exceptions, Snaky Cats allows players to team up with a friend during matches and wear a special skin that fuses both cats together.

Appxplore shared the news of Snaky Cat’s global release on February 4, 2025, via a post on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. The post exclaims that the game is “now LIVE worldwide,” and encourages potential players to download the game on iOS and Android devices.

Anyone interested in trying out Snaky Cat can download the game for free via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Players who pre-registered for Snaky Cat prior to its global release will earn 2000 Rubies and 30 Cat Tokens after opening the game. Exclusive cosmetic rewards unlocked through the pre-registration campaign have been also distributed, including a Legendary Cat for all Snaky Cat players.

While many video games are available only to those who can afford expensive consoles and computers, mobile games are designed for the average person.
