Romero Games and Paradox Interactive are Partnering up for New Game

Earlier today, it was announced that Romero Games and Paradox Interactive are partnering up for a new game. This new game will be a strategy game based on a brand new original IP. Though information on this new game is scarce at the moment, there will be more information revealed about the project at E3 this June.

In the press release for the announcement, the CEO of Paradox Interactive, Ebba Ljungerud, expressed her excitement for this new endeavor by stating, “We are thrilled to work with industry legends, Brenda and John Romero, whose games we’ve grown up playing ourselves and long admired.” She would also state that Paradox is well known for producing “top-tier strategy games.” Thus, this partnership appears to be a perfect match for the two studios.

According to Brenda Romero, this new game “has been a project we’ve been wanting to work on for a long time,” and the studio can “fully realize that dream” thanks to this partnership with Paradox Interactive. For fans that want the latest updates on this new game, they can sign up for a newsletter on the official website.

This isn’t the only game either of these studios are working on either. Last year, John Romero announced Sigil, an unofficial spiritual successor to the fourth episode of Ultimate Doom. Paradox Interactive, on the other hand, just recently announced Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. With these games, along with this new strategy game, it looks like fans of both studios have a lot to look forward to.
