Resident Evil 7 Breaks Street Date, Spoilers Inbound!

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is still a week away, but there are already major ending spoilers spreading around the internet. The source of the leak has been attributed to copies of the game breaking street date in the Middle East. Various retailers in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, as well as other regions, have shown copies for sale this week for PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version isn’t for sale yet due to the DRM being locked to Steam, which won’t run the game until its official release date. Since then, screenshots of the game’s ending have popped up on various forum sites, including the infamous image board 4chan, quickly sparking fan discussion and debate. There won’t be any spoilers in this article, but if fans want to keep themselves spoiler free, they may want to stay away from the internet for the next week.

In other Resident Evil 7: Biohazard news, Capcom has announced that they will be releasing some free DLC for the game during the spring. Not many of the details are known, but what is known is that it is a “short story scenario” called “Not a Hero.” Capcom also described it as having a “different taste from Ethan’s nightmare,” implying that it will feature a different protagonist to the main game. Capcom will share more information on “Not a Hero” in the future.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will officially launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Tuesday, January 24th in North America and Europe, so be careful around the internet until then.
