Red Dead Online gets Festive Update

Red Dead Online, the multiplayer version of the Red Dead Redemption 2, has updated to include holiday festivities. In post by Rockstar, they highlighted some of the festive changes coming to the game. Saint Denis is covered with wreaths, lights, and decorations and players can hear festive music around the city. In addition, players can also expect some massive discounts on in-game items like the infamous Krampus Shotgun.

Players can also gather some seasonal gifts and items. When they log in, there is a free set of gifts for players to pick up, such as a free coat and a free repeater. And those are not the only good deals available, many shops and items are now purchasable for a discount, including 40% off all shotguns, 30% off everything at Wilderness Outfitters, 30% off Bandoliers and Ponchos, and more. In addition, there are new Turkoman Horse breeds players can acquire – Grey, Black, Chestnut, and Perlino variants. Players can also team up with friends to participate in some festive versions of Make It Count – Bow & Arrow and Last Stand. These showdowns will also offer three times the usual RDO$ and XP payouts. There is also a new legendary bounty for players to hunt down named Virgil “The Shepherd” Edwards and players can expect to gain double XP and role progression for all bounty hunts right now.

Red Dead Online is now available as a standalone game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for $4.99, which is 75% off, until February 21, 2021. Or it is free with the purchase of Red Dead Redemption 2.
