Rockstar Games is launching Red Dead Redemption 2’s multiplayer component into its own standalone game, Red Dead Online, which will be available to purchase on December 1. The Bounty Hunters Role expansion was also announced and will be included in an update next week. Red Dead Online originally launched in a beta form at the end of 2018. Players will be able to customize their experience through different jobs, missions, and skills. This is Rockstar Games’ chance to revamp the multiplayer mode and fix the many frustrations players have had with it.

Red Dead Online will allow players to create their own story in five different Specialist Roles: naturalist, moonshiner, bounty hunter, trader, and collector. Players will be able to continue the story following a recent widow named Jessica LeClerk, previously in the multi-part missions A Land of Opportunities, and help her get revenge on the men who killed her husband.
During the week of this launch, players will be able to get Double XP on the A Land of Opportunities Mission and the new Bounty Hunter missions including major discounts on outfits, weapons, horses, and saddles. There will also be awards for players who connect their Prime Gaming to Rockstar Games Social Club.
And Bounty Hunters across Red Dead Online will have an influx of fugitives to deal with, as the Bounty Hunter Role is enhanced with new criminals to track down and Prestigious level equipment and skills to unlock across 10 more Bounty Hunter ranks. There will also be new Legendary Bounties and a 100 Rank Outlaw Pass.
Red Dead Online will be available starting December 1 and on the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store, and Steam. Until February 15, 2021, players will be able to get this game for 75% which brings it to $4.99. For PlayStation and Xbox players, PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold will be required to play. Red Dead Online will also require 123GB of space on your hard drive.
Those who decided to play the Red Dead Redemption 2 Story missions after purchasing Red Dead Online will be able to do so in-game for an additional cost. More details will immerge from Rockstar Games leading up to December 1. For now, players should get ready for the ever-evolving multiplayer game.
