Pragmata’s New Eight Trailer Builds Up an Emotional Story Coming April 17th

Few upcoming games have earned as much recent discussion as Pragmata, a title that has featured heavily in many events, teasing exciting story elements and mechanics. Early reviews of the game report a well-polished and experimental experience that leans into its core relationship to bring the story together. Building on this emotion, Capcom recently released a new trailer for the game, titled “Eight”. The new footage reveals even more moments that appeal to the empathy of players while hyping up the journey in store for them.

The trailer begins with Hugh and Diana standing on the moon and looking at the Earth. Their conversation hints at the teaching and parental role that Hugh will have for Diana as he explains aspects of the planet, encouraging her to want to visit herself. As they venture into the lunar base, they encounter the central character of the new trailer, a new Pragmata named Eight. She begs for their help before explaining how the facility was overcome by the bots and trees going out of control. Eigth herself can only talk to the characters while being trapped within the trunk of the largest tree. The team promises to stop IDUS and save Eight before jumping into combat with the facilities defenses.

The next part of the trailer shifts between various scenes, showing various dangerous events like buildings being destroyed by massive machines and astronauts being shot out of airlocks. The trailer ends with Eight passing on her memory to Diana to help her stop IDUS, causing memories of Diana and Hugh to flash briefly before they are forced to leave her behind.

A game’s story can serve to enhance great gameplay to create a beloved combined experience. With what fans have been shown of the game so far, there will be a strong focus on both aspects when the game releases on April 17th.
