Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire coming to 3DS in November

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International announced Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, and will be released exclusively on the 3DS in November. These two new games are reimagined versions of Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, which were released back in 2003 on Game Boy Advance and you played in the Hoenn region, an island located far from Kanto and Johto.

No screenshots or information were given about these two titles except given the trailer that let us know that both games will have an “epic new adventure” that will be taking you to “spectacular new world.”Plus also that the games are in 2D with some areas playable in 3D. The games Ruby and Sapphire has sold over 16 million copies globally. The most recent games are Pokémon X/Pokémon Y, which were released last October on 3DS and had sold more than 12 million copies.

With Ruby and Sapphire you had faced either against Team Magma or Team Aqua, but being that we aren’t given info at this time, they may be coming back or maybe not. Ruby and Sapphire gave you the choice between Torchic, Mudkip, and Treecko for a starter Pokémon, with Groudon and Kyogre being the legendary Pokémon. Also both games brought the first double battles to the Pokémon game series.

Nintendo previously remade Pokemon games that included Blue and Red being remade into FireRed and LeafGreen, then there was Gold and Silver being remade into HeartGold and SoulSilver. Plus there was Pokémon Platinum, which was a remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. With these past remakes and these current ones coming in November, could there possibly be another remake coming, maybe a remake for Emerald?
