Pokémon Home’s 1.2.1 Update Brings Multiple UI Features for Better Navigation Between Pokémon Worlds

Pokémon HOME’s 1.2.1 update has multiple user interface (UI) features that may help players better navigate through the application. Some features include but are not limited to: the ability to place multiple Pokémon in the Wonder Box at once, improved clarity on what Challenge players have completed, added filter system for what Pokémon is deposited, a search engine for Legendary and Mythical, and “other special Pokémon,” a back button to Battle Data screens, and more. Check out the App Store or Google Play underneath “What’s New” to view additional information.

But what is Pokémon HOME in the first place? It is a cloud-based application where fans can access their Pokémon inventory from other games/devices. From Pokémon Sword and Shield on the Nintendo Switch to Pokémon GO on iOS and Android, players can battle and trade with anyone through their previously owned devices. Other compatible game titles include Pokémon Eevee and Pikachu on the Nintendo Switch and Pokémon Bank from the Nintendo 3DS. Additional features of the application are listed on Pokémon HOME’s official website.

The development of the application is quite simple. With hundreds of Pokémon already developed in previous titles, “it has become exceedingly difficult to give Pokémon new individualistic traits and balance affinities. These are the circumstances that led to this decision, and it was decided that it will be difficult to make all Pokémon appear in future games.” – stated Pokémon’s long game designer Junichi Masuda in the Famitsu interview. The application, therefore, is for current and new fans to access multiple Pokemon worlds to and from their other favorite game titles. It is truly the bridge between Pokémon worlds that fans have long awaited for.
