Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD Hits iOS May 30

The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series is arguably one of the best – and probably only – court room drama simulators for the 3DS, and now the first 3 games are coming to iOS next Thursday, on May 30. If you’re somehow unaware of the cultural phenomenon, the Phoenix Wright games are split into two unique game modes: an investigation section where player’s observations skills are tested, and a trial section where the player must cross-examine witnesses and shout “Objection!” a whole bunch.

The first two cases of the first game will be free on a trial basis and players will then have the opportunity to unlock the full game for $5.99. The next two games will cost budding digital attorneys $6.99 each or $16.99 for the full trilogy, which will save you just over 4 bucks.

According to Capcom Unity, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy HD has been “fully optimized for iOS,” and the games are looking a lot sharper than the decade old titles they are based on. The series has been “been remastered and enhanced for retina displays [and] it’s got newly added social features you won’t find anywhere else, such as the “Everyone Object” mode which allows players to share dissatisfaction with everyday life, Phoenix-style!” OBJECTION! WE’RE OUT OF CHEETOS, MOTHER!

The announcement also confirmed that the next installment of weird ass Japanese hilarity, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, will be released on 3DS as scheduled this fall, dispelling rumours that the game had been delayed.
