Ninjala’s Anime Series Premieres Internationally on Jan. 13th

Ninjala’s official 3D anime series will be available for international viewers starting Jan. 13th, according to the game’s publisher, GungHo Online Entertainment. Ninjala is an online, free-to-play battle royale game where players can fight against up to eight players in single-mode or team tournaments. Since its release in 2020, Ninjala has ventured into other forms of media to show off its unique lore, such as creating 2D anime cartoon series, an animated short film, and now a 3D anime series.

Ninjala‘s 3D anime series was first mentioned in developer diary back in November 2021, where GungHo Online Entertainment announced that the show would release sometime in January 2022. For Japanese fans, the series premiered its first episode this past Saturday, Jan. 8th, on TV Tokyo and featured Japanese pop star Kyary Pamyu Pamyu singing the anime’s opening song, “Maybe Baby.”

However, international fans will get the chance to view the anime series for free on the PlayNinjala YouTube channel soon. According to a news post on Ninjala’s website, the anime series will air internationally on Jan. 13th, and episodes will release every Thursday at 7:00 pm PST for one week only. This means that you’ll only have one week to watch the weekly episode before it disappears and the episode for next week comes out.

The post also revealed that the show will focus on Ninjala’s eight main characters: Burton, Berecca, Ron, Van, Emma, Jane, Kappei, and Lucy, along with the game’s cute alien mascot named Gumchi. The show’s premise will first follow researchers Burton, Berecca, and Ron as they successfully developed Ninja-Gum, “a substance known to strengthen the power of the Shinobi that dwells within and draw it out.” However, the characters run into trouble as suspicious incidents start to occur surrounding the use of Ninja-Gum and otherworldly beings.

Make sure to check out Ninjala’s new anime series for free when it releases on Jan. 13th on YouTube. If you plan to keep up with the series, don’t forget to subscribe to PlayNinjala to ensure that you watch the weekly episodes before they disappear.
