Above Scars is an action shooter game takes place on an alien world that has appeared in the solar system. This strange land that has appeared is filled with danger and mystery. This alien land is filled with life unknown to mankind, and the SCAR scientist named Kate goes to research what lies in this foreign land.
Developed with Unreal Engine 4, the world of Scars Above takes us to the Metahedron, a place that is described as a beautiful world until it was attacked and left in ruin. Dr. Kate Ward, a member of the Sentient Contact Assessment and Response team, also known as SCAR was pulled into a strange world. Left stranded and separated from the rest of the crew, Kate sets forth to explore this new land and uncover its secrets.
The battle system is a third-person shooter, Kate has a primary gun used to attack foes. As Kate explores more of Metahedron, the plants, and animals that she researches will be used to give her gun additional abilities. For example, we see Kate studying a plant and its neurological components. From her studies, she took the plant’s cryogenic abilities and replicated its process. As you research the different specimens on Metahedron, you will have the ability to craft different items and weapons for offense and defense strategies. Scars Above is scheduled to be released on February 28, 2023, for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
