Speed Golf is a new fast-paced mode where players tee off in unison and race through the course to sink the ball as fast as possible. Players will have to avoid the course’s various hazards and collect items to regain stamina as they race to the ball. Players can also use special dashes and shots to achieve victory. Battle Golf is a more strategic version of Speed Golf. Players will race to claim three out of nine holes all at play at the same time. Staying ahead of opponents is key or you’ll be losing out. In Standard Golf, every stroke counts and the lowest score wins. Golf adventure is the single-player experience in Mario Golf: Super Rush. Players will enroll their Mii character at a country club where they can interact with familiar mushroom kingdom characters as they can learn how to play the game by undergoing various challenges. Gaining experience levels up the character which can be used in multiplayer modes.

There are two control options that players can choose from. Simple button controls make it easy for new players and seasoned pros alike. All you gave to do is aim, choose your shot strength and send the ball flying. Additionally, players can use motion controls by holding the Joy-Con controller. However, motion controls cannot be used during Golf Adventure. There are also different shots and techniques that you can use to help on the fairway. Curve Shot can help you avoid hazards. Adding spin on the ball affects how it rolls after landing. Players can also use a shot gauge that adapts to the angle of the slope and a scan to make it easier to read the terrain.
