New Details About Kingdom Hearts III’s Re:Mind DLC Revealed

After being announced back in April and having full reveal at E3 this year, Square Enix has revealed more information regarding Kingdom Hearts III‘s upcoming Re:Mind DLC. The unveiling of this new info came during the “Kingdom Hearts Orchestra: World of Tres” concert that took place in Osaka, Japan over the weekend.

Twitter user Mel_lifluous shared what exactly was revealed during the concert. It was revealed that the Re:Mind DLC will include four new additions to the game including: Photo Mode, Slideshow Mode, Fast Pass Mode, and “Black Code.” The game’s director Tetsuya Nomura also stated that a new trailer for the DLC will be shown off sometime during this month, but didn’t give an exact date. One thing that wasn’t revealed, to the dismay of fans, was a release date for the DLC. Thus, the game is still slated to release at some point this winter.

Photo Mode itself is pretty self-explanatory, a very popular addition to games this generation, allows for players to pause the game to take photos of characters and actions in the game. There will apparently be backgrounds and effects you can add to the photos including “ a giant pancake, sparkles, a Dusk, and dream eaters.” Slidshow Mode will allow players to create slideshows of their favorite photos taken with transitions, effects, and music cues.

Fast Pass Mode and “Black Code” appear to have the same kind of functionality in allowing players to adjust the game’s difficulty. Fast Pass Mode appears to make the game easier as the Twitter user states, “There were too many potential settings, went by so fast, but Fast Pass Mode lets you essentially one-shot kill enemies and had at least 7 attractions / spells stacked up above the combat menu.”  “Black Code,” on the other hand, appears to let players take the game to it’s hardest difficulty and allows for players to even adjust their Health meter.  The Twitter user cites a boss battle being shown where the player had no way to heal during the encounter.

With a new trailer supposedly on the way this month, Kingdom Hearts III‘s Re:Mind DLC probably isn’t that much further out.  Thus it shouldn’t be too long before fans get their hands on the next piece of Kingdom Hearts content.
