South Korean game development company, Lionheart Studio, announced Valhalla Survival in May 2024, revealing the official title for their new IP, previously known as “Project V.” The game was later showcased at G-STAR 2024 in November, revealing gameplay that showed Valhalla Survival off as a survival RPG mobile game set in a fantasy world inspired by real-life Norse mythology.

The game has players explore the realm of Valhalla, where they navigate a harsh environment filled with Nordic gods and ancient ruins as their own fully customizable character. As with most RPGs, Valhalla Survival incorporates skill progression, and a choice-driven narrative, giving players the opportunity to choose between different factions and quests. As for its combat system, the upcoming game features real-time strategic combat against ai-powered enemies and other players.

Lionheart Studio has encouraged potential players to pre-register for Valhalla Survival since the option opened up back at the November G-STAR showcase. On December 23 the company posted about pre-registration via a post on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. Although the Valhalla Survival X account is written entirely in Korean, the built in English translation describes the upcoming game as “an infinite farming hack and slash RPG that can be played one-handed.” The post reminds readers that pre-registration is open and declares that pre-registered players may receive gifts upon the game’s release as long as the number of pre-registrations reaches a specific mysterious amount.
