Life is Strange Episode 1 To Be Free Indefinitely Starting Tomorrow

Developer Dontnod Entertainment and publisher Square Enix has recently announced that Life is Strange Episode 1 will be definitely free starting July 21. The tale of love, friendship and coming of age which won multiple awards will be free to download, according to PCgamer. New players will now be able to go to Arcadia to join the adventure of Chloe and Max in the pilot episode: Crysalis.

The Life is Strange series may not be for everyone, but the game has a multitude of ways to impact the person playing the game. Chris Thursten of PCgamer called Life is Strange Episode 1 his personal pick of 2015. In his column about Life Is Strange Episode 1, he explains his pick:

This was the year’s most innovative, diverse, engaging and contentious adventure game, combining the potential fanatical fan investment of a BioWare RPG with the potential fanatical fan investment of a cult TV show from ten years ago.

He says that while it may not be the perfect game, it has various aspects that players can enjoy.  The game has a puzzle solving mechanic where you can rewind time, much like Remember Me. The threat of the game goes farther than violence, but factoring into the threat is social seclusion, anxiety, loss and unrequited love. It isn’t realistic, but it’s realistic in the eyes of the teenage characters and the teenagers playing the game.

The relationship between Max and Chloe is one of the main reasons that players continue on with the story. The game asks players to answer questions that are simple but affecting. Can you really go home again? What is your response to loss? How much do you believe that fate is what determines your future? The emotions of the game may be hard to replay, but it could make players think of their own lives according to the game.

Starting on July 21, players can download the game for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC according to Gamespot.

No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
