Telltale’s Batman Episode One To Launch On August 2nd, Check Out The Trailer

Telltale has been on a hot streak lately with Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones, The Wolf Among Us, and of course The Walking Dead. Naturally, Telltale has decided to expand their catalogue. With All of the other series wrapped up for now, and The Walking Dead set to ramp back up later this year, Telltale has decided to turn their attention towards other comic book properties like Batman.

Telltale has kept quiet about the game, but they did promise to show off the game at Comic-Con later this week. Ahead of that demonstration, Telltale has released the first trailer for the game, which you can watch below.

From the looks of it, the game could take place early in the Dark Knight’s career, or at least early enough that Harvey Dent still has a whole face. Despite having Troy Baker in the cast, it’s unclear whether or not he will only be lending his voice to Bruce Wayne and no one else.

Instead, the story might focus more on an election campaign that Bruce is involved in and the Falcone crime family. The trailer’s description gives us precious few details.

Enter the fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne and discover the powerful and far-reaching consequences of your choices as the Dark Knight. In this gritty and violent new story from the award-winning creators of The Walking Dead – A Telltale Games Series, you’ll make discoveries that will shatter Bruce Wayne’s world, and the already fragile stability of a corrupt Gotham City.

In an early article, we reported that there would be nine episodes total with the first five coming out on a physical disc and the remaining four coming as a digital download when they are completed later on down the road.

The first episode is titled “Realm of Shadows” and is set to come out on August 2nd for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, PS3, iOS, Android.
