Players who enjoy dark humor games may want to add Legion Was Here onto their wishlist. In the game, players can change their faces and steal people’s identities to complete bizarre missions. They will have a variety of unusual clients to assist, but they must make sure their true identity is not discovered while completing these missions.
The main protagonist is known as Legion, who is a secret agent with the ability to change his appearance at will. Agencies will reach out to the player with a variety of dangerous missions. It is the player’s job to get close to their targets by successfully disguising themselves as someone they know. Can they act as the target’s husband or one of their relatives? It is not about looking the part, but acting the part as well or they risk being killed.
An official release date trailer was posted today, where players can see the operating room. This is where players will change Legion’s appearance, ranging from his age, hairstyle, nose, eye color, and even physique. There are over millions of combinations for players to explore, but they must keep in mind what look best suits their mission.
The investigative aspect of the game appears while players peruse files on their new identity. These will be provided for each missions and players will be able to move documents around as they cross-reference them. Thoroughly inspect these documents will help players piece together the identity they take, even if the document is as insignificant as a candy wrapper. Players will be able to write down clues on Legion’s hand, which will assist them with conversations as they attempt to approach their target.
On missions, players can get close to their target once they have successfully created the right appearance. However, a new challenge begins: acting their part. Players will need to know the mannerisms and responses of who they are impersonating. This part uses visual novel mechanics as seen in the trailer. There will be multiple choice questions to test the players and the notes on their left hand to help guide them.
Those interested in the game can try out the demo currently available on Steam. Legion Was Here plans to officially release on October 13, 2026 via Steam. There is no news whether the game will be available for console players, but for now it is one PC players can keep tabs on.
