League of Legends Wild Rift Beta Coming to The Americas March 29

A few days ago, the League of Legends Wild Rift official Twitter announced the beta for the upcoming mobile game will be available in the Americas on March 29. The game was originally announced in late September for Riot Games’ 10th anniversary, and it was supposed to be released last year. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the game was pushed back indefinitely. However, a beta has been available across several countries, and now, it will be available for North and South America.

The game is not simply a port of the original game, but its own mobile version MOBA developed by Riot Games with unique characters and mechanics. Players will challenge each other on 5v5 teams in order to destroy the enemy’s teams Nexus. Each game will last around fifteen to twenty minutes.

There are lots of characters from which players can choose from the PC version of the game as well as original ones too. Characters from the PC version have been adapted for the mobile version with some of their abilities or ultimates being changed to adapt it to the mobile version. Some of the characters will be accessible only through in-game currency microtransactions. However, there will not be characters locked behind real money transactions.

Alan Moore the game’s director also mentioned some of the game’s issues and also future plans for the game in his “Wild Rift Real Talk: March 2021. In it, he discusses the matchmaking processes and problems and latency challenges too. He also talked about “Big Moments” for the mobile game such as updates with lots of different features.

The game will be available on iOS and Android, and while it has no release date for the full game, fans will have to play the beta until then. For more information, check out the League of Legends Wild Rift website.
