Insurgency: Sandstorm Is Taking The Series Into A New Era

We’ve gotten a look at many big name sequels at this year’s E3. Publisher Focus Home Interactive already has shown fans their plans with one big sequel, The Surge 2 but they also have another big title, Insurgency: Sandstorm, currently within the works. And were lucky enough to get a chance to play a closed demo build of the game at E3.

The demo was basically a co-op mission that allowed the participants to experiment with the classes and equipment while securing and destroying objectives while taking down hostiles. The game is is built in Unreal Engine 4 and is sporting upgraded graphics. The title boast an even more immersive experience than ever before. This fast paced tactical first person shooter gives players an array of extended gameplay options and possibilities.

Introducing new objective based co op and versus modes. Within the co op mode each players role seems just as important as the other. Each class can be customized with different weapon choices and support items that help aid players play style and each of the characters in each class can be jazzed up by mixing and matching different cosmetic items.

Players familiar with the series will appreciate features like magazine dropping which helps for faster reloads, bashing down doors, fire support mechanics, drivable light vehicles, and competitive matchmaking. Developer New World has the game aimed at a summer 2018 release for PC and sometime next year.

Experience kinetic, gritty, and immersive combat on a modern battlefield that strikes a balance between action and simulation gameplay. You and your team must move with speed and fluidity as you weave through dense urban environments, capturing and destroying vital enemy objectives. Customize your character with multiple cosmetic options, Get access to lethal  weaponry and configure the with upgrades like suppressors, optics, compensators, and gripods.
