Today indie publisher PM Studios has released Incredible Mandy onto PlayStation consoles. The game was originally developed and released by Dotoyou Games back in 2018 and has previously only been available on PC and Nintendo Switch, but it is now available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Incredible Mandy is an action puzzle platformer that focuses on the dreams and memories of a brother and sister.
In Incredible Mandy the player controls a brother after a tragic event leaves him and his sister without their memories. Players will adventure through the dreams of the siblings that span across eight different landscapes that each represent an untold secret. Levels feature a variety of themes including seashores, mountain peaks, and canyons. Due to the accident, the brother losses his right hand and has it replaced by a new one that has the power to summon the Excalibur of Light that serves a number of functions such as becoming both a sword, and a bow and arrow. The levels in Incredible Mandy feature numerous puzzles that require players to make use of their unique environment. Each level also includes their own boss fight, that are designed around the player discovering and exploit each bosses weaknesses. Throughout the game players will be able to find hidden collectible treasure chests that each provide a piece of the siblings’ memories and give the player a more complete understanding of the story. An average playthrough of Incredible Mandy should typically take the player around fifteen hours to complete.
Incredible Mandy is now available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game is currently available for $14.99 USD.
